Alex Wilkes, General Manager
Alex Wilkes has been General Manager for Pearle Vision since March 2016. He previously oversaw vision care efforts at sister brand LensCrafters, where he led innovations to elevate the company’s partnerships with doctors and transform the patient experience in nearly 1,000 locations across North America. “Pearle is a strong, legacy brand of passionate entrepreneurs. It is exciting to work alongside this group every day. One of the things I appreciate most about this brand is its values. Since its founding in 1961, the company has been focused on taking care of people and a strong family values culture. That’s important to me and to our entire licensed owner community.”
Chris Laden, Senior Director of Finance
Chris Laden was promoted to Senior Director of Finance for Pearle Vision in 2016 after having served as the brand’s Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. He provides strategic planning and leadership through financial reporting, annual and long-term planning and by driving financial accountability for corporate and franchise operations, product planning, human resources, licensing and development. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, he held a variety of senior finance roles at General Electric.
David Reiter, Territory Vice President of Field Operations
David Reiter has been with Pearle Vision since 2010 and has been Territory Vice President of Field Operations since 2014. He oversees franchise store operations across North America. He was recruited as a turnaround manager for underperforming corporate-owned markets and developed a special event division that helped boost market share and revenue. He now brings his operational expertise to the field support team, where he leads a group of business coaches dedicated to helping licensed owners boost their performance and maximize their return on investment. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, he was a sales leader in the formalwear industry.
Doug Zarkin, Vice President of Marketing
Doug Zarkin joined Pearle Vision in 2012. As Vice President of Marketing, he is responsible for strategic marketing, visual merchandising and product promotion. In 2015, his team was recognized with a Silver Effie for marketing excellence in HealthCare Services Marketing for leading the brand revitalization work for Pearle Vision. Before joining Pearle Vision, he launched and managed Avon’s “mark,” an international brand targeting upscale young women that achieved $118 million in sales in its first 18 months. He then served as Vice President of Marketing for Victoria’s Secret brand Pink, where he led the brand from its test market beginnings to becoming a standalone brand worth more than $400 million.
Josh Robinson, Vice President of Licensing & Development
Josh Robinson was promoted to Vice President of Licensing & Development in 2018 and is responsible for defining and developing business strategies to grow the Pearle Vision franchise system. Robinson joined Pearle Vision in 2012 and previously oversaw the franchise store operations team in the Eastern United States, Eastern Canada and Puerto Rico as a Territory Vice President. He has more than 20 years of experience supporting franchisees and helping them optimize the performance of their businesses. Before joining Pearle Vision, he was Senior Director of Operations for Dunkin’ Brands.
Kathleen Steele, Vice President of Operations Services
Kathleen Steele became Vice President of Operations Services in May 2016, following roles with sister brand LensCrafters as Senior Director of Vision Care Strategy and Senior Director of Innovation and Commercialization. Her current role includes developing and implementing programs that improve franchise and corporate store operations, enabling licensed owners and their teams to provide a better quality of care for their patients.
Mike Weaver, Senior Director of Business Development
Mike Weaver leads Pearle Vision’s efforts to recruit licensed owners and facilitate their process of investigating the brand and determining whether Pearle Vision is an opportunity they would like to pursue. When prospective franchisees fill out a form on this website, Mike is one of the first people who will be in touch with them. Before being promoted to his current role in 2018, he consulted with licensed owners to help them improve profitability. He also oversaw financing services for licensed owners and candidates, helping to manage relationships with lending institutions in order to help qualified candidates secure capital.
Nigel Edwards, Director of Planning
Nigel Edwards became Director of Planning in July 2015 and is responsible for frame supply chain. He was recruited to help build and launch managed frame supply. He provides leadership and direction on frame planning, assorting and replenishment. As part of frame supply chain, Edwards also manages the physical inventory program. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, he was a planning director for L’Oréal, managing planning and allocation in the beauty retail industry.
