Alex Wilkes, General Manager
Alex Wilkes has been General Manager for Pearle Vision since March 2016. He previously oversaw vision care efforts at sister brand LensCrafters, where he led innovations to tighten the company’s partnerships with optometrists and also worked to elevate the patient experience. “Pearle is an amazing brand where you get to work with incredible entrepreneurs. Two heads are better than one. The ability to work with passionate Licensed Owners on a daily basis is just super exciting. And I just love the values of the brand. It’s a brand founded in 1961 based on taking care of people, and having a very strong family values culture. That’s important to me.”
Greg Hare, Vice President of Business Development
Greg Hare has been part of the Pearle Vision team since 2014, and has been part of the Luxottica family since 1996. He supports the development of new EyeCare Centers and the expansion of the brand. Before joining Pearle Vision, he helped grow the EyeMed Vision Care insurance program, and led the OneSight non-profit organization. Prior to leading OneSight, Greg provided strategic product and merchandising leadership for Pearle Vision as an associate vice president.
Anne Johnson, Associate Vice President of Operations Services
Anne Johnson joined the brand in September 2009 as Associate Vice President of Operations Services, and in 2013 transitioned into a new role of leading and defining the brand’s operating model, eyecon. Anne is responsible for leading large-scale strategic business solutions from strategy to implementation to enhance Pearle’s operating model and drive Licensed Owner profitability. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, she held leadership roles in LensCrafters, Shared Services – Operations Systems and Reporting Solutions, and Luxottica Call Centers.
Chris Laden, Senior Director of Finance
Chris Laden was promoted to Senior Director of Finance for Pearle Vision in 2016 after having served as the brand’s Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. He provides strategic planning and leadership through financial reporting, annual and long-term planning and by driving financial accountability for corporate and franchise operations, product planning, human resources and licensing and development. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, he held a variety of senior finance roles at General Electric.
David Reiter, Territory Vice President of Field Operations
David Reiter has been with Pearle Vision since 2010 and has been Regional Vice President of Field Operations since 2014, where he oversees operations in the Western United States and Western Canada. He was recruited as a turnaround manager for underperforming corporate-owned markets, and developed a special event division that helped boost market share and revenue. He now brings his operational expertise to the field support team, where he leads a team of business coaches dedicated to helping Licensed Owners boost their performance and maximize their return-on-investment. Prior to joining Pearle Vision, he was a sales leader in the formalwear industry.
Josh Robinson, Territory Vice President of Field Operations
Josh Robinson joined Pearle Vision in 2012 and oversees the franchise support and operations team in the Eastern United States, Eastern Canada and Puerto Rico. He has more than 20 years of experience supporting franchisees and helping them optimize the performance of their businesses. Before joining Pearle Vision, he was Senior Director of Operations for Dunkin’ Brands.
Michelle Schumm, Senior Director of Planning
Michelle Schumm took on the role of Senior Director of Planning in March 2016, after holding a number of senior roles with fellow Luxottica brands including Sears Optical and Sunglass Hut. She came to Luxottica in 2008, bringing with her a wealth of retail industry and inventory management experience with brands such as Talbots, The TJX Companies and Jo-Ann Stores, LLC.
Michael Smith, Senior Director of Franchise Innovation
Michael Smith became Senior Director of Franchise Innovation in January 2016. He has developed a strong background in business and consumer marketing management in previous roles with Luxottica brands, including Senior Director of Store Operations with LensCrafters and Director of Product Innovation and Strategy at EyeMed Vision Care, among other positions. In his current role, he develops and executes strategic innovation and growth programs.
Kathleen Steele, Senior Director of Operations Services
Kathleen Steele became our Senior Director of Operations Services in May 2016, following roles with our sister brand LensCrafters as Senior Director of Vision Care Strategy and Senior Director of Innovation and Commercialization. Her current role includes developing and implementing programs that improve franchise and corporate store operations, enabling Licensed Owners and their teams to provide a better quality of care for their patients.
Gail Wolfe, Senior Director of Human Resources
Gail Wolfe has been the Senior Director of Human Resources at Pearle Vision since May 2016. Her responsibilities include leading corporate HR strategy aligned to business needs including associate development, compensation, benefits, associate relations, performance management, succession planning, culture, recruiting and workforce optimization. She also is responsible for sourcing vendors to provide value-add HR services to the franchisees. She has been with Luxottica since 2009, having previously served as Senior Director of Labor and Associate Relations and Director of Associate Relations.
Doug Zarkin, Vice President, Head of Marketing
Doug Zarkin joined Pearle Vision in 2012 and is responsible for global strategic marketing, visual merchandising, product promotion and store design. In 2015, he was recognized with a Silver Effie for marketing excellence in HealthCare Services Marketing for leading the brand revitalization work for Pearle Vision. Before joining Pearle Vision, he launched and managed the “mark” brand for Avon, an international brand targeted to upscale young women, which achieved $118 million in sales in its first 18 months. He then served as Vice President of Marketing for Victoria’s Secret brand Pink, where he led the brand from its test market beginnings to becoming a $400 million+ standalone brand.
Mike Weaver, Director of Business Development
Mike Weaver leads Pearle Vision’s efforts to recruit Licensed Owners and facilitate their process of investigating the brand and determining whether Pearle Vision is an opportunity they would like to pursue. When you fill out a form on this website, Mike is one of the first people who will be in touch. Before being promoted to his current role in 2014, he consulted with Licensed Owners to help them improve profitability. He also oversaw financing services for Licensed Owners and candidates, helping to manage relationships with lending institutions in order to help qualified candidates secure capital.
